After many years of thinking about it I have finally decided to run a trip to the Limi Valley in far western Nepal.

The basic details of this trek are:
-Limi Valley - A visit to the Hidden Himalaya - Western Nepal (restricted area)
- May 8 - 30 2007. 17 days trekking (extra days for flight delays)
Expedition style:
- Leader Wanda Vivequin wanda@hihimalayas.com
- Maximum group size 8 - minimum 4
- Price: US$2499 share twin (Includes fully catered camping trek, accommodation in Kathmandu and Nepalgunj, 4 domestic flights Kathmandu/Nepalgunj/Simikot/(return) permit fees for restricted area)
This is logistically a complicated trek in a remote area
- Highest camping spot: approx 4300m
- Highest pass: approx 5200m
The Limi Valley in far - Western Nepal (Humla) is regarded by the very few who have been privileged enough to visit the region, as one of the most beautiful places they have ever been.

The culturally rich Limi Valley is thought by some to be the fabled Shangri La. It branches north-eastward from Simikot, the starting point for people who trek to Mt Kailash from Nepal.

Although this trek does not involve serious altitude, its remote nature, sketchy trails and rough terrain means you need to feel comfortable with being a little uncomfortable!
